It’s February and the weather is not letting up. Here in Oneonta we’ve all had enough of the below zero temperature pattern. Since we’re itching for spring to arrive, the sweater weather look is becoming redundant. I’m sure I’m not the only Fashionista getting a little tired of my winter attire and in serious need of a little wardrobe spice up.
I spotted this Fashionista rocking this adorable ensemble on campus. She paired a high-waisted circle skirt with a crop top sweater, tights and a circle scarf. She also complemented her look with edgy wedge booties. This sweater/skirt combo is a classic one, but this Fashionista made herself stand out with a print. Eyes are used to a typical polka-dot or stripe print, but nothing like this unique letter scatter print that this SUCO student is owning.
Patterns and prints are a huge part in textiles and can sometimes be the most prominent factor in an outfit. This alphabet pattern sweater really adds a little flavor to her look without being too over the top. Just a little bit of detail in her simple gray sweater has transformed her entire look into a chic, trendy and overall appealing style. This Fashionista has become a trend setter. I’m sure it’s a unique statement I’ll be seeing much more of throughout the rest of this winter season.
How To: Tired of your solid, dull, oversized sweaters in your closet? Keep your winter look interesting and don’t be afraid to experiment with a new unique pattern. You’ll be sure to dissipate your feelings of the winter blues.
