As much as I love the winter, I always dread the inevitable drop of temperature. It seems like getting dressed becomes that much more complicated, no more just tossing on a dress and going. Instead, you have to put on more and more clothes until you’ve layered appropriately enough for the weather.
Another challenge I’m faced with every year is finding the perfect winter coat that is actually warm yet stylish. I’ve tried too-thin pea coats, too-puffy jackets, and currently I own a coat that is warm but maroon and bright orange. I’m always on the lookout for the right coat, and the one this Fashionista was wearing immediately caught my eye.
Perhaps one of the best things about this coat is its color. To me, navy is one of the best shades to pair with other colors, making it perfect for any ensemble. The coat is also functional, with a longer length and enough padding to ensure protection from the elements. However, this coat is fashionable with its fur hood and its navy hue, and it’s also extremely versatile; it could be worn over a dress and booties for a more formal occasion, or worn over a casual ensemble for class like this Fashionista did. The complementary pairing of the magenta T-shirt with the navy coat and the dark wash jeans and leather boots make it the perfect look to wear to class on a cold day. With a coat like that, it makes the winter weather a lot less dreadful.
