It has been unanimously decided that stripes will continuously be a fashion staple for nearly decades to come. This classic and effortless pattern continues to bombard our fashion community and by no means are we complaining! From alice + olivia’s to Valentino’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, we have got the striped look pinned down for whatever occasion may arise.
Having acquired more inspiration this season, we are capable of recreating a multitude of looks with the single loved monochromatic pattern. Whether that be in a dress with knee-high black boots as displayed in one of Valentino’s looks or a ravishing floor-length coat and sweater duo as seen in alice + olivia; there’s bound to be something to cater to everyone’s needs.
Our Fashionista opted for a breezy summer dress. Seeing how it has been at a constant 90 degrees the past week in Southern California, I don’t blame her. She’s capable of keeping cool whilst incorporating the striped staple. She went on to add a thin long cardigan, perfectly complementing her monochromatic dress. Lastly, she added a blue laced scarf.
How To: Incorporating this pattern into any ensemble is perhaps one of the easiest things. You can be simple and opt for a classic T-shirt and jeans. Perhaps you want something a bit more daring and can incorporate the recently beloved tight shirt and midi skirt combo. Even simply choosing to throw on some striped shoes can work wonders in creating a new look. Whatever you choose, be confident! You’ll rock it. Stripes are for everyone!
