While the saying goes, “You’re never fully dressed without a smile,” I argue that any Fashionista is not fully dressed without jewelry. Donning a bold necklace is my favorite way to brighten up and complete any look— exactly what this Fashionsita did! Statement necklaces are so easy to put on and can be paired with (almost) any outfit to dramatically change the look and feel to something more polished and fun.
This Fashionista is wearing a bright, orange sweater from J.Crew. Underneath she wears a medium wash jean shirt from Forever 21 (you can find a similar one at Zara). She layers her cable knit sweater and denim shirt so she’s not only warmer in the cooler temperatures, but also to create a very preppy outfit. This Fashionista pairs dark green, coated jeans (my favorite for fall) from Gap and leopard print Sperry Top-Siders for a very fall-inspired look.
To complete her outfit, she wears a chunky, gemstone statement necklace from J.Crew. This Fashionista finished her preppy look by tucking her necklace under the collar of her denim shirt. By doing this, she instantly elevates this outfit from something that can be read as being very casual to a much dressier look.
