My favorite part of the fall season is the colors, or lack thereof. I’m definitely the type of person who has to force myself to wear anything colorful or bright because I am constantly drawn to the warm neutral colors, which make up the majority of my wardrobe. You can honestly never go wrong with some basic black, white, brown or maroon. Sometimes, I even have to stop myself when I realize I have paired some black shorts with a black shirt and black converse. But wait, do I really? This Fashionisto proved me wrong by choosing the most “boring” color, to create the utmost bold outfit.
I was so excited to find my first Fashionisto ever this morning! Right away, he told me “Ugh, but my outfit is so plain today!” Although, by definition it may be “plain,” his attire was most certainly not ordinary. I find it to be a very difficult task to use only ONE color in an entire outfit, but he executed this perfectly. He started out with a simple black V-neck, black skinny jeans and comfy black loafers and then accessorized with a bucket hat and bag. His black glasses, whether they’re prescription or not, go along well with the rest of his attire.
How To: Choose your favorite neutral color and stick with it! If you think it’s too much to wear pants and a shirt in the same color, start with a dress, some knee-high boots and accessories for the fall.
