Lately, everyone has been singing a metaphorical “I want you back” to ’90s fashion. From Kylie Jenner’s sultry makeup to Charlie XCX’s perfect grunge style, the contagious nostalgia for the good old nineties is alive and well especially with street style.
One of my favorite trends of that era has to be the pleated button skirt. Pleated button skirts work well on any body type because they come in multiple hem lengths. The fit and flare style gives a nice accent to the waist without suffocating it. Additionally, the vertical direction of the buttons down the center of the skirt elongates the body, creating a slimming effect.
