Stepping outside of what some might call my home away from home—the ever-so-beautiful, rustic, and historic Beaven Hall—I happened upon a Fashionisto embracing the balmier temperatures in serious style. This Fashionisto’s ensemble is a true testament to the fact that we are, slowly but surely, stepping into spring. A surprising play on standard neutrals speaks to this Fashionisto’s daring personality, which ultimately pays off phenomenally in style and smoothly transitions from all-over winter darks to warmer weather’s call for color.
This Fashionisto’s fashion sense flawlessly mirrors his award-winning personality. This look is simultaneously put together, bold, and exudes an aura of approachability. The pairing of a muted army green with navy is both unexpected and aesthetically pleasing, while the supple nature of the textures feels effortless and inviting. A sleek hairdo and gleaming smile only add to the charm given off by this Fashionisto and his digs.
When it comes to making making a statement, this Fashionisto knows that it truly is all in the details. Color coordination gives the cohesiveness of couture runway a run for its money and an overall effortless, cool vibe (cotton joggers, anyone?) is enough to make any fashion-forward passerby want to emulate this look. However, arguably the most special moments in this look are smaller in scale yet bigger in impact: a pop of camouflage offers the perfect alternative to standard white kicks; the incorporation of navy blue placket, or strip of fabric on which the buttons lie, on an otherwise casual cotton T-shirt and the glimpse of warm, caramel-colored leather on the crossbody truly tie this ensemble together.
Time to break out the camo crops and throw on some sassy kicks.
