As much as it saddens me to have to write an article on styling rain boots (considering it’s June), the way this Fashionista styled them makes everything a little brighter. A pair of cute rain boots are a necessity for any closet. With Mother Nature being so unpredictable, a stylish pair of boots aren’t only practical, but also an easy way to add personality to your look. The variety of rain boots are endless. With so many styles, heights and prints, there is sure to be a perfect pair waiting for you. Although no one is really a fan of rainy days, who’s to say our outfit has to suffer? I know I’m guilty of letting the rain affect my mood some days. It’s so easy to throw on a pair of yoga pants and a T-shirt and stay inside all day. But for some of us, that’s just not an option. This Fashionista chose to style the very popular rain boot brand, Hunter Boots. While Hunter Boots are a little on the expensive side, they are excellent quality and come in a bunch of fun colors. This Fashionista purchased a simple, chic black pair that she can pair easily with any outfit. She decided she wasn’t going to let a little rain ruin her lunch plans. A common misconception is that rain boots can only be paired with pants. This is SO untrue. Here you can see she styled her boots with a flowy skater skirt. This combination gives a cute, feminine appearance to her look. She decided to keep it simple by pairing the look with a lightweight, neutral top. Then to tie everything together, she added a statement necklace to make the outfit a bit more girly and lunch appropriate.
Don’t let these rainy summer days get you down. If you don’t own a pair of cute rain boots yet, I would totally suggest finding a pair that you love. It’s time we stop letting the weather dictate what we wear. Keep the yoga pants and T-shirts in your closet and go for the dress you wanted to wear instead.
