It’s that time of year again, where the days get colder and the nights get longer. During this time, most of us chose to cover up. In doing so, we start to lose our sense of fashion. This causes us to resort to Ugg boots, sweatpants, and oversize sweatshirts that just don’t complement our bodies or do our figures any justice. Now, don’t get me wrong, these items are all comfortable and definitely a necessity during the winter season, but it’s all about how you wear them. Let’s be clear, just because the season, that many college students refer to as “cuffing season”, calls for us to bundle up and snuggle up, doesn’t mean we should lose our unique style in the process. If you think you had any idea of what “cuffing season” was all about, then you’ve probably got the wrong idea according to this Fashionista! When most of us college kids think of “cuffing season”, we think of finding the right individual to kick it with during the colder months, AKA “cuff” for the season. However, this Fashionista has taken that slogan, flipped it, and made it her own!
This Fashionista found a new way to express herself and her fashion during this “cuffing season” and has taken cuffing to the next level. This Fashionista created her look wearing a cream and black striped shirt, distressed bleached overalls, designed by her sister, and floral pumps. Her ombré lip and bold locs set the look off! It’s all in the details! Who would have thought to put stripes and floral prints together? Well this Fashionista did and pulled it off. She chose to leave one strap of the overalls unhooked to give a laid back edgy look and of course she had to cuff them at the bottom to show off that amazing shoe candy. She nailed it and showed that overalls and cuffs are definitely RAD! If you like the way this Fashionista popped out with this look during the season, then try a different route this “cuffing season” and throw a few cuffs in your look. You may have to bleach and distress the overalls yourself, but I say go for it!
