Nothing completes a summer outfit like the perfect accessories. Sometimes picking out the right accessory can be difficult, but you can’t go wrong with tasseled jewelry or purses this season. A tasseled necklace is the perfect layering piece to have on hand for your summer vacation. Add a dainty gold necklace or two and you have a sophisticated and interesting ensemble that looks complete with any simple dress or shirt. If you’re not really looking to wear jewelry, you can go with a fun, beaded and tasseled purse. If this doesn’t make you feel like you’re getting ready for a tropical vacation, I don’t know what will.
This Fashionista chose to run with tassels. Pairing a light pink tasseled necklace with a brightly colored purse, these accessories add some color to her white dress. Unfortunately her necklace was a one-of-a-kind at a local boutique, but plenty of other stores are selling tasseled jewelry. She also paired her pink necklace with a Kendra Scott drusy necklace. This one was more dainty and acted as the ideal layering piece. Her purse can be carried as a clutch or as a small cross-body bag, as seen in these pictures. She liked this bag because the bright beads and tassels stood out against the black background. Also, don’t forget to leave the house without some fun sunglasses to complete your summer look.
How To: When shopping for a tasseled accessory, consider what items you already in your wardrobe. Do you have lots of brightly colored clothing or more neutral items? If you’re looking for some contrast, buy tasseled accessories that will stand out against your wardrobe. For example, if you have a lot of neutrals maybe buy something bright. I found this blue tasseled necklace at Nordstrom, which is a similar option to the one that this Fashionista is wearing.
