If there’s something I love more than fashion, it’s animals. One of my favorite trends that I hope reappears this season is fur. Not real fur, of course: faux fur! Something about a faux fur piece is a little bit intimidating. It brings such a luxe feel to a get-up. The first picture that comes to mind is a giant coat over a gown for the NYC ballet or a fancy dinner party during the holiday season. From full-length coats to gloves, faux fur is a must have in your wardrobe. Seen on models, celebrities, and bloggers every fall and winter, this is one versatile trend that never fails to keep a Fashionista cute and cozy.
Well, I don’t have a ballet show to attend and the holidays aren’t here just yet—so my strategy for wearing faux fur was to put it with casual separates to spice up a look. With crisp days coming back to us, there’s nothing better than a vest to complete an outfit being that it’s not unbearably freezing just yet. Even better, this vest to layer up with for the autumn is faux fur. The colors suit the fall scene perfectly too. Fur has given Fashionistas a sense of empowerment to women since the Roaring Twenties. Adding fur to an outfit not only adds serious style points, but invokes confidence too. Warmth and trend isn’t the only thing faux fur brings to an outfit; being animal friendly can make you feel good too! Avoiding the expense of an animal’s life while leveling up your style game is just another reason to hop on the bandwagon.
In this outfit, a faux fur vest is layered over a staple piece black sweater paired with distressed skinnies for an added edge. Being a full time student can cause feet to get sore running from class to class, so to finish off the outfit, comfy kicks were slid into to. Don’t forget to accessorize!
