Happy New Year to all my RAD Fashionistas/os out there! With the new year, comes new trends and I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store of us!
Eastern Iowa recently endured a snowstorm and, being home for winter break, it keeps many of us locked up with hot chocolate and Netflix as our only company. This means leggings, fuzzy socks and those oversized grandpa sweaters we all know and love. However, once the storm has subsided and a layer of white snow is coated over everything, it’s time to face the outside world again! My fellow Iowa Stater knocked the “winter-chic” look out of the park in her faux fur coat and delicate details.
Since the the coat—a vintage shop find—is such a statement, she kept the rest of her outfit simple with the inclusion of trendy pieces. Faux fur coats are the perfect way to bundle up and stay warm (especially in this chilly Iowa weather), while always looking chic in such an effortless way! A black turtleneck paired with dark wash skinny jeans, a tote bag and black, lace-up booties bring the whole look together, yet still allow the coat to be the center of attention. To top it off, she added just the right amount of bling with her delicate gold necklaces and Fossil watch!
One of the best things about faux fur pieces is that they come in such a variety of styles and colors! From coats to vests, and ranging in color from white to black and anywhere in-between, they are such a versatile piece that can be dressed up or worn casually. It is one of the best winter pieces that should be in any fashion fanatics closet, and will make you feel like you just walked right off the runway!
