ALL IN THE DETAILS: Feelin' Blue

There is nothing I love more than blue clothing. If you were to look in my closet right now you would see it’s a solid mix of gray, white and navy blue. Maybe it’s because it goes nicely with my ghostly white skin (I am pale all year round) but I cannot stay away! A major plus with the color blue is that different shades are easy to mix and match within the same outfit. So when I saw this stylish Fashionista walking the streets outside my dorm I had to capture her look. Her pairing of the light turquoise statement necklace with a navy blue pant gave depth to the outfit. I also loved the incorporation of the black velvet shoes. This look is not only simple to duplicate for yourself but also doesn’t break the bank. Something that is very important for us college kids!

What sets blues aside from different shades of other colors is while it is strong enough to stand on its own, it’s also a great accent color. I’m sure that most of you can say that at least half of your clothing is some shade of blue. Okay, maybe that’s just me, but that’s because it’s classic. Blue is even considered to be a power color, representing characteristics such as confidence and intelligence. This makes it the perfect color to wear to an event such as a job interview or a first date. So whatever your power color is get out there and rock it. The more confident you look, the more confident you feel.
