I still can’t believe winter is just around the corner because I still question if fall even happened where I’m from, but that doesn’t mean fashion skips a beat. This month I absolutely love this Fashionista’s look, especially because it is a trend I am seeing everywhere. Denim on denim inspired looks have really grown on me since I first saw them. I never thought it could be pulled off without resembling Britney and Justin circa 2001 AMA’s red carpet ensemble.
However, this Fashionista’s whole look is so wearable you could totally get away with rocking it when you’re going to class, running errands or even going out for a bite to eat. What I love so much about this outfit is the simplicity it has. Though the denim of the jeans and the jacket are the same color, the distressed detailing in the jacket breaks up the otherwise monotonous streamline color. The next thing that keeps this look proportional is the bottoms are slim while the jacket remains oversized
Another thing I love about this look is the black Ramones T-shirt keeps this look edgy. I mean who doesn’t love a good band T-shirt whether or not you actually listen to classic
rock ‘n’ roll. If not, your secrets safe with me! Other than the amazing distressed jean jacket, the real winner here is the bandana. The secret to this is that it doubles both as a killer accessory to finish the look but it’s so versatile it basically takes the place of all other accessories. The bandana for this look acts as a cute little necktie and takes the hassle out of layering with a ton of necklaces. You can wear them so many different ways and it makes a statement without having to overdue the jewelry.
This Fashionista keeps the rest of her look super simple by adding a little black bootie and a small cuff to the jeans that looks both relaxed and put together. I love how the denim makes such a statement, but the look is effortless at the same time. This Fashionista nailed this trend, and I’d like to see more.
