ALL IN THE DETAILS: Flossy For Fringe

This weekend I traveled to downtown St. Petersburg, Florida for an art show. After the show, I stepped out onto the cobble stone roads and explored what this city’s streets had to offer. I stumbled upon a lovely road called 5th Street, hidden away behind the hustle and bustle of the shops and restaurants. A small little neighborhood was tucked behind some trees and each house was painted a bright color. This is where I shot this lovely Fashionista.

When I was in middle school, my mom bought me a brown fringe purse from American Eagle Outfitters. I thought it was the bee’s knees. Fringe was very popular in the early 2000s and then slowly faded away. Today, fringe is back and better than ever. I see it popping up in tons of stores and trending in different magazines and blogs. This Fashionista is bringing fringe back in a trendier updated way.

The gray, fringe scarf is the staple of this outfit. This Fashionista wore black loose fitted top to accent the lighter colored scarf. As for her jeans, she is wearing a pair of skinnies with two slits in the knee and minor distressing. As for her shoes, she is wearing a black and tan two-strap sandal.

How To: To accomplish this look, you just need one staple fringe item. Whether it is a scarf, bag, shirt, dress or pants (the list goes on), just make sure one of the items has fringe detailing! Pair your fringe with anything simple. You don’t want to go overboard with the rest of your outfit since the fringe catches the eye. This Fashionista’s fringe scarf could easily be paired with a T-shirt dress and some suede booties for a night time affair!
