ALL IN THE DETAILS: I'm With The Band

I’m sure almost all of us can agree that there’s nothing more irritating than when you’re sitting in class, diligently taking notes, and your bangs suddenly decide that it is in their best interest to flop all over your face. From the very moment your bangs escape the spot where you had precariously placed them behind your ears, there’s no turning back. You’re doomed for the rest of the lecture as your hair obstructs your vision and acts as a total nuisance.

Now, I know, there are some simple solutions to this. There’s always the option of pulling your hair into a ponytail or pinning back your bangs before getting to class. However, even though it’s March, the weather in Ohio is still screaming winter. This means that the beanies are still in full force, and pairing a beanie with an up ‘do nearly always ends in a disaster.

This annoying hair problem was seemingly unsolvable until this Fashionista came along. She wore an army green parka with velvet leggings and black combat boots—the perfect outfit for a long day of trekking through a snow-covered campus. She finished off the look with a black and white striped headband which pulled back her gold locks and pulled her outfit together all at the same time.

I love that she opted for a wider headband because not only did it allow for more of hair to be pulled back, but it also served as a statement piece. And, if she wanted to, she could still easily slide a beanie over her head without messing up her hairdo in the slightest on the really cold days—but who would want to hide that adorable headband?

So, Fashionistas, I think it’s safe to say that we’ve finally found the remedy to our annoying hair woes. Next time before you go to class, slide on a headband and enjoy the freedom of a fringe free face.

How To: I love an accessory that you can get a ton of wear out of, and that’s exactly what you can do with a headband. When the warmer weather rolls around, and you want to pull your hair into a ponytail or bun, you can still slip on your headband to elevate your hairstyle a little more.
