I find that during April and May it is tricky to put outfits together because the weather is so unpredictable. One of my favorite ways to style myself during these months is by layering different outfits. If it gets too hot I can remove some of the layers, and if it’s too cold I can put them right back on.
It is important to make sure when you are layering outfits, you keep a cohesive theme throughout the whole look. It is important to stick with the same color scheme and patterns so you are not overwhelmed with bright colors and crazy patterns.
This Fashionista is headed to class, and after that it’s off to work at J.Crew. She took a blue and white striped T-shirt and paired it with a black blazer. On top of it all she threw on her black fluffy jacket, in case she was feeling a little chilly that day. Next, she threw on a pair of flared blue jeans and gray suede booties. To tie the look together she put on a statement necklace as well as some mirrored shades.
How To:Â To achieve this look is quite simple. First take any T-shirt, striped or solid, and pair it with a black blazer or jacket. Next throw on a pair of blue jeans and a pair of cute booties. Finally, you can rock a chunky statement necklace or keep it simple and fresh. If you really want to spice up the look, throw on a pair of mirrored shades.
