It may be winter, and it is definitely not the ‘80s, but that does not mean bright neon colors are forbidden. Sometimes you have to work a little spice into your ensemble to help you forget how cold it actually is while walking to class. Neon hues are establishing themselves as chic these days, but sometimes a Fashionista/o may not think they are able to pull of this fluorescent color This Fashionisto is living proof that you can wear neon even during the dark winter days.
This Fashionisto played the neon card perfectly; he does not look like a highlighter or Richard Simmons. He chose to make his neon coat from The North Face the focal part of his outfit, but the coat is not too overbearing. By keeping it casual and trendy underneath, he created a copacetic match. He paired a button-up burgundy sweater on top with a slimming pair of navy blue khakis on the bottom. Finally, he played it safe with brown (untied) oxfords boots.
Although I was totally obsessing over his cool winter jacket, his Element backpack was eye-catching as well. The black, brown and gray backpack was a great accessory that is always needed on a college campus. So dare to bare neon this winter. Leave the dark parka behind, and brighten up your outfits, your day and maybe someone else’s day too!
