Hello again to all of my fellow Fashionistas/os! Hopefully your year is off to a great start with some great fashion, focus, and fun.
It is now already February, which means we are getting into the colder months of winter. This is the time to really rock your neutral colors. These are your browns, beiges, tans, blacks or even whites. Neutrals can come in many different shades, however, as most of us know, you can never go wrong with black. Black is such a staple and interchangeable color which can be styled in a wide variety of ways.
This Fashionista chose black with a few contrasting pops of white. I personally think the white makes the outfit stand out a lot more, without making the outfit too flashy. It adds just the right amount of balance. She paired a black bomber jacket with a plain white t-shirt underneath. The bomber is unique in that it includes the French saying “Au Revoir” along the zipper and patched on the front. The white lettering pairs well with the white T-shirt.
Knee-high boots could have easily been one of the most popular trends this season. She rocks a black suede heeled pair very well with the skirt. I absolutely love this skirt! It is unquestionably my favorite part of this look. Lacing is another trend that has been very popular in the past year. The lace-up feature and the silver design add distinctive detailing. This is an example of a simple black skirt with a twist.
The pieces combined make for a very put-together look. This Fashionista kept it simple with the all black theme while choosing a statement piece like the skirt to set the tone. If you’re one of those people who are most comfortable wearing neutral colors, a statement piece is an easy way to spice up your look.
