Overalls are a rather bold statement, so I was extremely impressed when I saw this Fashionista rocking a pair. Her outfit is cooler than cool and she is looking ready for a day out in the city. I love everything about it from the colors of her outfit to the accessories she’s wearing. So if you’re looking to pull off this comeback trend, then look no further.
Overalls, jumpsuits and rompers have all certainly made more and more appearances lately. The great news about a jumpsuit is that it is not only stylish, but also very comfortable. The same goes for overalls and rompers, which will be perfect for summer. I was fortunate enough to take a trip up to NYC this past week (the fashion capitol of the world) and was amazed by how many jumpsuits and overalls I saw out and about there. So if they’re all over New York, then they will be all over everywhere before we know it. This trend is definitely one that requires some boldness, but don’t worry you can do it. If you want to go with a classier look then go with J.Crew’s version of a jumpsuit which is made of silk and is very sophisticated looking. But if you’re looking to achieve a similar look to the Fashionista’s then definitely go with Alexa Chung for AG Jeans denim overalls. This is a personal favorite and it might just have to do with the fact that Alexa Chung is who I want to be when I grow up.
How To: I love how this Fashionista layers her look as she wears a button-down underneath. I also love her choice of accessory: her camera necklace is super cool. A long necklace will look great with an outfit like this. Also a long coat, just as the Fashionista wears, will be a good pick as it flatters the overalls well. And lastly, I will leave the shoe choice all up to you.
