Denim on denim on denim. As the weather gets cooler and the leaves start to fall…it slowly becomes jean season. I L-O-V-E love jeans. If you were to give me an option either jeans or leggings, jeans would win. The plain denim look can get pretty old pretty quickly, but that’s when the cool/edgy chick in you comes out. Lately I have been seeing patches on all sorts of denim clothing items. Margot Robbie bringing back the ’60s Levi patched jeans and Constance Jablonski rocking the patched denim jacket around the streets of Paris, these are only a few who have started the trend. From jeans, jean jackets, and even backpacks you will find your self dying to get your hands on a pair of tricked out jeans.
Being a total sucker for jeans, I could not resist when I came upon this pair in Italy. The gems, the lace, and the color that are on this one pair of jeans just makes your jaw drop. Zara sells ones with the regular fun patches that you used to see in the ’60s, and I even took the time to make my own patched jean jacket. I think that it is such a cool way to add a little twist to your outfits. Here I paired a plain turtleneck sweater with some long necklaces so that I could let my jeans be the real show stopper. I brought the whole outfit together with this army green western-style belt from Free People and of course I could not forget my grey velvet creepers. Minimal yet spunky is what I was trying to go for here. Bring out your inner spark with this look. Take an old pair of jeans and let your mind wander with creativity.
To take this look from day to night, add a cute pair of block heels and top it off with a killer leather jacket. You could even change the sweater and put on a solid colored shirt to show off the jeans even more. Throw your hair up in a pony, grab a purse, and you are off to conquer the night.
