It’s here! Winter finally is upon us. Snow is falling and the holidays are coming here in the Midwest. The holiday season is one of my favorite times of year, and I cannot wait to cozy up next to a fire and drink some hot chocolate with my loved ones. However, with a few more weeks of school ahead of us, it can be tough to stay fashionable when all one wants to do is wear yoga pants and hoodies. But have no fear! This stylish Fashionista is here to help with the pre-winter break slump.
This Fashionista starts her outfit off with a pair of basic jeans, a soft black turtleneck, and a pair of black booties. All of these items are huge wintertime staples, and if these aren’t in your closet already, put in a word with Santa. Maybe they’ll show up under your tree this year!
To give her outfit a trendy look, the Fashionista layers on a cozy charcoal gray coatigan. This is a must-have item during the cold winter months, whether you choose to rock it as outerwear or loungewear. The gray color is a great neutral for winter as well.
While the trendy coatigan and staple items are adorable, the details are really what make this outfit special! To add holiday cheer, the Fashionista adds a multicolored plaid blanket scarf, a popular accessory this season. The reds and blues and greens in the scarf add a burst of holiday spirit to her look, and I love it! To finish it off, she adds a pair of silver tear drop earrings, some sassy ’50s-style sunglasses, and a silver watch.
