I love fall and winter because my outfits feel so much more complete. The colder temperatures allow me to layer various accessories as well as add some super cute boots to spice up even the plainest of looks. I usually stay away from bold prints or designs on these accessories, but the one print I can’t get enough of is plaid. It will always be a staple for me. From shirts, to scarves, to jackets, plaid is a great way to add some depth to your outfit without feeling like you stick out like a sore thumb.
This Fashionista is rocking the plaid perfectly. Her beautiful purple top is a bit on the plainer side, so she added a plaid scarf to mix it up a bit. What I love about this scarf is that it still has neutral colors, black and white, which makes the print a lot more versatile. When you have neutrals or even navy blues, red and darker greens, plaid can be a lot easier to incorporate into your look than you think. Finally, I love how she paired this look with black over-the-knee boots. The boots definitely dress up the outfit a bit more, as well as complement the black in the scarf nicely, resulting in a well-rounded look.
As the weather continues to get colder, I know I’ll be continuing to layer hats, scarves, gloves, etc. onto my outfits. Incorporating plaid into those layering pieces is a great way to still look fashionable while being bundled up. Try finding a plaid wrap, hat or gloves to add some style to your looks this winter.
