Now that classes are back in session, I’m finding it very difficult to balance the “extras.” These are all of the meetings, speakers and other events that don’t take priority but still seem to take over my life. While not having enough hours in the day is a problem for any college student, how to pick out an outfit that is appropriate for all of the back-to-back activities I’m attending proves to be an even bigger challenge.
This Fashionista put together a perfect outfit for almost any occasion. This outfit is so transitional because of the shoes. This Fashionista wore the shoes to a sorority chapter meeting, but the possibilities are endless. The wedges make the rest of the outfit dressed up, yet at the same time they could easily fit in at a campus speaker event or even going to class.
For her dressy yet casual look, this Fashionista paired a printed top with structured leggings (but you can wear jeans or leggings—really anything works!). She accented her outfit with a watch, a round stamped initial necklace, pearl earrings and the wedges. These accents help to make the outfit more dressed up while the top and leggings keep the outfit as casual as it needs to be.
How To: You can create a similar look by adding accessories to an outfit that give it instant class, like wedges or pearl earrings. Clearly, this would look ridiculous if you paired these accessories with an oversized T-shirts and Nike shorts (a college staple), but adding a few dressed up accessories would look great with put together pieces like a patterned top and jeans.
