Spring is a crazy time of year. In Pullman, we’ve gone from sunshine, to rain, sleet and snow, and then back to rain again. When you go outside you never know quite what you’re going to get so having versatile shoes are essential! Rain boots are perfect spring options that you can wear pretty much all year round. In the winter, I wear my Hunter Boots as both rain boot and snow shoe because they have great traction and are a lot cuter than regular snow boots. This time of year they’ll keep your feet dry through any rain, sleet or snow Mother Nature may have coming your way.
Another great thing about rain boots, especially like the Hunter Boots this Fashionista sports above, is that they’re actually very stylish! They come in a variety of different colors and finish options which allow you to make them your own and customize them to your outfit needs.
This Fashionista wears her rain boots with a pair of leggings, a white and navy striped sweater with a heavy olive green jacket paired with a black thick knit infinity scarf. The matte finish on the boot make them easier to pair with a larger variety of outfits which is important to think about since these rain boots are definitely a splurge. I love the color scheme of this Fashionista’s outfit; blue, olive green and white are some of my favorite go-tos.
How To: Over-the-knee socks are a great way to dress up rain boots enough to wear with a spring dress and jacket for when the sun decides to peak it’s head out. Some brands like Hunter and Sperry Top Slider have different fashion socks that you can insert into each boot which is another great option!
