Now that spring break is over, it’s back to reality for students at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Not only are students coming back to school with midterms hitting them hard but students are also coming back to school with cold and high winds hitting them with full force as well. Last week it was fun in the sun but this week in the Piedmont region, North Carolina is experiencing cold, rainy, and gloomy days.
So how can someone stay warm and comfortable during this type of weather while maintaining a stylish look? Simple. Pair your favorite jacket with a cool outfit and shoes.
This look was inspired by this gentleman’s birthday. Although it was super cold outside, he still wanted to look like a million bucks for his 21st. He paired his warm, green jacket with a trendy green on green combination. His green shirt with cool detailing is from Forever 21 and he is wearing a cool pair of green Levi’s as well. Although his shoes are not green, the luggage color oxford does add a nice contrast to his outfit while also creating some balance. He then adds a cool understated accessory that doesn’t scream “TELL ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY” by topping his birthday look off with a casual 21 button.
He wore this look to school because he knew he could make a day to night transition. He knew that he had school during the day but he also made dinner plans that evening as well at a casual restaurant where his outfit would tie in appropriately and perfectly. He did not want to stress about being overdressed or being uncomfortable when temperatures dropped to freezing at night. He made a very RAD decision when planning his birthday look out during such a gloomy day.
