It’s finally December, and it’s been a weird few weeks for us Wisconsinites. Usually by now all of the college kids are bundling up in their winter boots, hats, scarves and thick jackets, trying to trudge through the snow. Instead, we’ve had a mixture of rain and chilly fall-like weather. This Fashionista is taking full advantage of these circumstances. She still gets to rock some cute wedged booties and ripped jeans instead of struggling through the snow in her winter boots.
Her outfit might seem simple, but she was sure to add small details that really made the ensemble trendy. Sometimes less is more, as is the case with this Fashionista’s outfit, yet her outfit still packs a punch! Inspired by her sweet Cyber Monday find, her forest green sweater sets the tone of the outfit. This green color is such a staple color when it comes to fall and winter; it just matches with so much and is a flattering color on everyone! She tucked one part of her sweater into a pair of light wash jeans with a ripped and rugged knee. The tuck-in trend is really common today and, in this outfit, the tuck brings attention to the jeans and ripped knee. Just a small little detail like that gives this outfit some more dimension.
Now for accessories. Again, they are simple and small but definitely mighty. A scarf is a great addition to any fall and winter fashion ensemble, but a cream-to-taupe ombré scarf is even better. The green paired with the cream and taupe colors is a stellar combination that screams fall. Also, the little holes and design on the scarf really sets itself apart from a plain, solid colored scarf. It’s a small detail that really matters.
Lastly, the shoes. These are the really kickers of this entire outfit. Literally. It is no doubt that booties are one of our number one fashion items for the fall and winter. These suede wedged booties by TOMS match with the colors in the scarf but also really complement the green sweater. All of these colors in this Fashionista’s outfit mesh and vibe extremely well.
All in all, this Fashionista really understands the trends that are going on this fall and winter. From the green sweater to the booties, the colors are the perfect combination and the article pairings were strategic yet effortless looking. She found a way to add those small details that make this outfit stand out.
