A neutral color palette is a pretty and practical spring essential. Not only do these shades flatter any Fashionista, but colors can be easily coordinated to create favorite spring looks. I am a personal fan of the springtime due to the feminine colors and fashions that debut each year and, of course, the gorgeous weather.
As the springtime approaches, Fashionistas start to showcase the outfits they’ve been anticipating to wear for several months. Attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in Chelsea, I constantly see many fashion fanatics that make the urban streets of New York City their runway. I spotted this Fashionista on-campus who plays up spring neutrals in a pretty and feminine way. Her outfit is very simple, making it appropriate for any spring occasion. She also adds layers to ensure that she stays warm throughout unpredictable and cool spring days.
I loved the details in this Fashionista’s look. In particular, I appreciated the use of her plaid topper coat, a versatile piece that can be worn throughout early spring months. This neutral, patterned piece is paired under a delicate open knit sweater. Its blush color complements the dark tones in the coat, while adding a small pop of color to her look. The knit work in the sweater adds pretty detailing that make her outfit one of a kind. To accessorize, she adds a large fringe tote, black ankle booties, elegant jewelry, and fun nail art.
I hope you can find daily fashion inspiration from my post. In the meantime, enjoy the spring weather! Head over to Central Park, walk the High Line, grab a tasty treat—you deserve it after a long and cold winter!
