Sunshine! It’s not just a cute pet name for people, the sun is finally out! The calendar summer has officially started and it looks as if Chicago’s managed to do away with the rain for a bit. There is hope for brighter days!
As the sun begins to come back out, so do the hats. Solid, printed, staw or snapback, whatever the style hats are a must and a great addition to any outfit! They not only block out some of those rays, but they add just the right accent to a look.
I managed to find this Fashionisto roaming around the city sporting the perfect accessory example! He went with a floral printed hat on a black background. Miranda Presley may think that florals are “groundbreaking” for this season, but I believe they are just right for summer. And yes, florals can be a masculine print, too.
This Fashionisto chose to keep the rest of the outfit calm by pairing the hat with a mint-colored T-shirt, light wash denim and classic adidas high-tops. He even added a hard edge to the look with a black, spiked cuff bracelet. Now, with his outfit complete and Starbucks in hand, he is ready to channel the day ahead!
How To: When wearing a hat that is very loud, keep the outfit simple. Choose a main or accent color from the hat and base your outfit choice around that. This way, the hat will be the ultimate accessory and the outfit won’t take the spotlight away.
