While some individuals prefer to wear them as the main, dazzling statement or “bling” of their outfit, others prefer for a more elegant Tiffany & Co. princess cut. Being a 21-year old girl, I totally would not mind the princess cut or anything from Tiffany & Co, for that matter. As for the bling, I think that look is best kept for Snoop Dogg.
This Fashionisto presents an entirely new approach on how to wear diamonds. He sports his diamonds as a pattern on his short sleeve button-down shirt. Since with patterns there is the possibility for them to look just ghastly, I’m always slightly hesitant when it comes to a pattern button-down shirt. For the most part, I save them for a Hawaiian luau or a ’70s themed party.
However, the simplistic nature of the diamonds kept the Fashionisto clean-cut and classy. This hipster matched his diamond pattern shirt with a pair of black ripped jeans. Best of all? He found these mod Topman like jeans at his local thrift store. He wears your classic black Ray-Ban wayfarers and suede shoes to top off his unorthodox diamonds and washed out jeans. Hipster prep meets grunge? Could someone just get this kid a skateboard already?
How To: For guys, patterned shirts are super in right now. You can find them all over stores like J.Crew or PacSun. If you are hesitant to try out a patterned button-down such as I typically am, start off with a small not as blatant design. Once you start to feel more comfortable wearing this style, try out a bit bigger pattern that doesn’t overwhelm the outfit.
