This Fashionista was all about boho-chic. She focused on the lighter brown palette, with a little pop in the pattern at the bottom of her tank top. The flowy tank top was then symmetrically balanced by her floppy hat via color and fit. She accessorized with a light brown leather watch with gold accents, a gold ring and light brown hair bands at each wrist that she would later use to give herself a side braid.
The one part of her outfit that really put everything together was her black, floppy hat. The addition of the hat is so chic, it almost takes you back to a 1970s Bridget Bardot. It totally builds up the bohemian in her look, very similar to what we saw in Paul & Joe‘s spring/summer 2015 ready-to-wear collection.
The floppy hat is also extremely convenient for the summer weather. It not only helps give you some shade, but it can be used to hide the inevitable frizz on really humid days or just be something you can easily throw on days you are too lazy to fix up your hair. It is also versatile enough to be worn on various scenarios from a sun-kissed day at the beach to being a touch of glam on a cloudy day in the city.
How To: This easy breezy look is fairly easy to imitate. The black, flowy hat can be found in almost every women’s fashion store these days from Nordstrom to Forever 21, but my current favorite is this one from Lulu’s. Tan shorts aren’t a very common find, but you can always substitute it for nude or taupe shorts. Then just finish it off with a white flowy tank of your choice.
