Summer is now over, the skies are darkening and it’s time to bring out those sweaters. This doesn’t mean we can’t look back to one last summer look. I stopped this Fashionista coming from class. She is wearing a grey T-shirt dress, ball cap and sneakers. The accessories are what caught my eye.
When looking at the photos, what is the first item you see? The popping yellow purse, of course! When wearing neutral colors such as blues and grey, you should always have one popping color. The yellow ties the look together. As we go a little closer we notice this fabulous jean ball cap. There are so many textures and patterns that most would think the look it too overbearing. A word of advice: there is no such thing as too many patterns. This look ties together very well.
Check out her watch—animal prints are the way to go. You will never go wrong with a watch, and who cares if it tells time or not. Watches are the perfect accessory as long as you don’t wear anything else on your wrists!
On to my favorite part of this look: the shoes. We can never forget the shoes! Sneakers with a thick gum bottom are in right now. Embrace this trend and make it your own. Details matter, but it’s up to you with what you would like to showcase.
Though this is a summer look, but here are some easy ways to give into the autumn season. Add a bomber and subtract the yellow bag, instead opting for a burgundy one. Don’t forget about the shoes, and trade in the thick gum bottom sneakers for boots.
