Lately fashion trends have leaned towards neutral, simple, loose, effortless and natural elements, which I love. When these trends are applied to “real life” (at least while talking about college girls), the whole look may sometimes result a bit washed out. Don´t get me wrong—while in theory I love fancy makeup and glam looks my every day is rather “au naturel” and I think it´s perfectly fine. While looking for inspo to write this article, I was walking around campus and spotted many cute girls but nothing caught my eye. There came a point where many of them just blended into one and I was just not into that “universal” look. Then I saw a girl who had that “bold touch” and I knew I had found the Fashionista I was looking for. Her outfit, made up of a black tank top under a white crochet top paired with black pants and metallic sandals, is what I call a college win. It´s pretty, cool, comfortable, and over all put-together without looking over the top. However for me it´s the accessories that made the look complete, giving her that romantic-but-with-personality vibe.
As we all know, chokers are back in style but in addition to being a trending accessory, I personally love the way they can make the wearer look more confident and empowered. There´s something about how they stand out that adds the “bold” and “daring” to an outfit. On the other hand even simple details such as an antique-style watch or a tiny ring tell us something more about the vibes our Fashionista was feeling that day. It´s well worth it to put a little thought into the details, isn´t it?
