The blanket scarf is a very popular accessory on campus during the winter because it’s warm, cozy and fashionable! This trendy scarf makes a statement for the outfit and brings it together which is why they are so functional. It’s a simple go-to item and it comes in so many plaids and colors. The blanket scarf is not your typical scarf because you can wear it a variety of ways and its great to accessorize your outfits with.
The blanket scarves are one my favorite trends this year. This Fashionista showed us how to wear a blanket scarf with a tunic dress and a green military jacket over it. She also paired some Cowgirl boots with this outfit to give it a country chic look. You can dress blanket scarves up or down. You can dress it up by wearing a skirt, sweater and cute booties. You can dress it down by wearing leggings, a basic T-shirt and flats.
How To: If you don’t own a blanket scarf then you should treat yourself to one, you can wear it a variety of ways. The way this Fashionista wore hers was by folding the scarf diagonally and then simply wrapping it around her neck with both ends hanging down. My advice is to eliminate necklaces and chunky earrings, so you don’t take away from the details on the scarf. Simple earrings and arm candy bracelets will pair well with the blanket scarf.
