Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos! It’s officially the start of the summer semester here at CollegeFashionista and I will be reporting street style from New York City as I complete my internship. Simply being in such a great city offers endless sources of inspiration. Walking through museums, strolling through Central Park, people watching on the subway or simply looking up and seeing all the beautiful buildings above the busy streets keeps your mind racing.
I met this particular Fashionisto on top of one of those beautiful buildings at a rooftop get together. His look is perfect for a casual summer party. Overalls are a warm weather staple now and this Fashionisto took the trend a step further by choosing a white pair. He paired his overalls with a matching white T-shirt and sneakers, keeping the look monochromatic. The little details of his outfit really complete the look. A single bracelet, mirrored sunglasses and a clutch wallet are simple accessories that are easy to keep up with at a party. His best accessory though is the blue bandana providing a pop of color around his neck. The modernized cowboy look has been a huge trend and this Fashionisto is definitely working it. Partying on a New York rooftop in the summer may be helping his vibe, though.
How To:Â This look could easily work for a Fashionista as well. Colors of overalls and bandana prints offer endless possibilities. An all black look with a pop of pink or blue around the neck could really amp it up.
