Plants are starting to look alive again and the temperatures are slowly, but surely rising. That only means one thing…SPRING! Spring can be such a blessing because it means we’re finally done with winter. But it’s also such an awkward season. The weather isn’t warm enough for T-shirts and shorts but it’s also not cold enough to be wearing a winter coat. So how is someone supposed to dress for this weather? The answer is a vest. Vests are perfect for keeping warm but not too warm. I love vests because you can do so much with them. You can dress them up or dress them down and your outfit will still be on point.
This Fashionista is wearing a red, patterned vest over a simple turtleneck sweater and leggings. I think this vest goes so well with this outfit because it makes the outfit pop. The color and pattern are bright and busy so pairing this vest with something a little more plain keeps the outfit from looking too busy or too boring. It’s the perfect contrast. The sneakers help keep the outfit more on the casual side while the flashy sunglasses add more color and uniqueness to the outfit.
How To: It’s quite easy to rock a patterned vest like this. All you have to remember is to keep everything else simple. You don’t want colors or patterns clashing together. I would recommend just wearing a plain shirt underneath and matching that with black leggings or jeans.
