I’m going to jump straight to the point and tell you all about what you came here for. We can be frank with one another, as much as you love me and my fellow Style Gurus, you’re probably knee deep in assignments this week and are probably reading this during a procrastination break. And no this isn’t an article dedicated to sweater weather and the appropriation of wine lipstick stained Starbucks cups. You came here for this bomber jacket.
Bomber jackets have been the “it” garment for a few years now, a style that doesn’t fade but rather evolves. Now snowballing off of that, I remember being a middle school (and like I said bomber jackets have always been the rave) but back then, their length wasn’t as long as their popularity was. They stopped short right above the waistline and boy oh boy, how happy I am to say they don’t make them like how they used to. Drake and Future got it right, what a time to be alive. I’d like to introduce you to the new revamped bomber jacket, the long bomber jacket, which couldn’t have been presented any better than by this week’s Fashionista.
This Fashionista is the breathing definition of #BomberGangGoals. She created a sultry vibe with such neutral toned colors. Most people play it safe and don’t mix tones, but she did an amazing job of combining pink hues in her eye makeup with the deep olive green of the jacket. It’s always nice to throw on bracelets and necklaces to do up your outfit, but stepping out of your comfort zone and playing up your makeup is the real showstopper. Oh and let me not forget to mention the second best part of this outfit, the sneakers. She threw on a classic all-black pair of Huaraches that she highlighted with a side knotted white T-shirt. How’s that for getting straight to the point?
How To: To get this Fashionista’s look all you have to do is get dressed with your favorite “I just rolled out of bed and I have ten minutes to get ready” T-shirt and black jeans and all black sneakers. But make sure you wake up early for this one, because you’re going to need time to “beat your face” (as the makeup artist say). Then just make sure you have you long bomber jacket ready to throw on. The best part about mirroring this outfit is that it is completely comfortable and almost effortless.
