Happy Holidays to all you Fashionista/os out there! Christmas is right around the corner and I am so excited to share what this month has to bring. I interviewed this Fashionista with a vintage holiday look. With plaids, suedes and collars, the outfit made the soggy, wet day just a hint more festive.
Beginning with the chic, yet simple plaid dress from Shoptiques, the vintage texture and pattern created a dress that could happily be brought to a Christmas party near you. The convertible collar is the centerpiece of the dress. It gives a focus to the otherwise simple design while still making the dress whimsical and fun.
Because it is the winter season, a style wouldn’t be complete with knee-high boots from Urban Outfitters. More often than not I see the classic leggings and Hunter Boot combination every morning on my way to class. But this Fashionista brought back some old school flare wearing her mom’s suede knee-high black boots. With the fit and length of the dress, the boots balanced the outfit rather than just putting on plain ole’ shoes without a thought.
The green purse that overlaid the dress hung at just the right length to walk the D.C. streets and take the outfit for a spin!
This Fashionista didn’t let a little rain ruin her day. In the midst of a rainy week the outfit fit perfectly with the temperature and the slow yet sure transition into winter. I envision this look to fulfill any Christmas party extravaganza but also as a cute rendez-vous outfit for grabbing a hot chocolate with friends.
I hope this outfit caught your eye as much as it did mine!
We’re finishing 2016 with style. Until next time Fashionista/os.
