After endless rainy weather and chilly winds, summer has finally arrived in New York. With crowded buses and humid train stations, high temperatures can take a toll on New Yorkers. Wearing less clothing, but still keeping it trendy is the ultimate solution to conquer the city heat. This Fashionista paid close attention to the details of her outfit and kept it simple with neutrals on a scorchingly hot day.
This feminine, yet classic look included breezy, belted khaki shorts with a simple, white tank top; an outfit simple enough to be summer appropriate and dressed up with fun details. From her floppy fedora to her distressed booties, she accessorized her neutrals in a fun, yet stylish way.
Her fedora caught my eye out of all the summer basics in the outfit. This Fashionista took a plain look to a summer city outfit in just a few steps with this hat. The booties were my favorite twist to her ensemble. These distressed boots are the perfect shoe for any Fashionista’s closet because they can be worn in any season. Her footwear gave the outfit a different vibe in comparison to wearing sandals or flip flops.
I’m excited that the sun has finally come out and I cannot wait to spot more Fashionistas throughout New York City.
How To: If you feel too plain with a simple outfit full of neutrals, accessorize! A nice statement necklace and summer wedges can transform neutrals in a massive way. Always remember, when it’s hot out, less is more. However, accessorizing is your best friend.
