Hello (it’s me) again all of you Fashionistas/os! And this month I get to share with you a real go-getter in the world of all things beauty and makeup. Or should I say, a real GLOW-getter?
Even though the temperatures may be down, this Fashionista knows how to keep her spirits up. How does she do it? With glowing makeup of course! A bright, sunny day may give you Vitamin D, but this makeup look gives you what I like to call “Vitamin G.”
This Fashionista’s beauty look centers around three key components: cheeks, lips and eyes. She uses bronzer in the hollows of her cheeks and highlighter on the tops of her cheekbones to give her face a healthy glow. She further accentuates the warm tones of her skin by rocking a nude lip, which in turn gives her the opportunity to play up her eyes. Sporting a subtle smokey eye she created with brown and silver shades, she adds a simple, white shimmery color to her inner corner to really make her look sparkle…. especially in the sun! She pairs her lustrous look with an edgy yet sleek outfit, (so as not to detract from her handy makeup work) by wearing a black cutout tank and black cardigan, dark wash jeans and tan combat boots.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To achieve this look you will want a luminous foundation as your base, a natural-looking bronzer to contour your cheeks and a light-colored, shimmery highlighter for the tops of your cheekbones. Then swipe on a matte, nude color for your lips, and for your eyes stick to an eyeshadow palette that has a good mix of both matte neutrals and bright, shimmering shades. Finally, to really amp up the intensity of your look, define your eyebrows with brow gel, add a few coats of mascara to your lashes, and tightline your eyes with black liner to really make the whole look pop!
