Makeup is an art and there is no one that can tell me any different. The extent of some of these makeup artists’ talent is astounding. The possible outcomes of putting on makeup no matter the talent level is literally endless. I love to look at makeup as an accessory. Want a pop of color in your gothic ensemble? Add a red lip or blue eyeliner. Like I said, the possibilities are endless. This Fashionista stood out to me, because though her makeup is very soft and romantic against an edgy all-black ensemble, the balance is perfect.
This look is totally gorgeous and totally easy with the right tools. A little tip: apply eye makeup first. All excess powders from your eyes and brows fall to your under eyes and cheeks. Using your preferred skin make up prior to eyebrows, eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara will make it appear as if there were never any excess powder and give your eye makeup look an all-around cleaner look. Whatever skin makeup, powders, foundations or concealers you use are completely based on your own preferences. There is nothing harder or more unique than finding the perfect skin makeup that is to each their own.
To start with gorgeous brows, you definitely need the right applicator. I recommend Anastasia’s brush since it includes an angled brush to apply and a spooley end to blend. Pair this with Anastasia’s brow powder and your brows will be on a whole different level than just plain old fleek. This Fashionista’s eyeshadow look is as soft and romantic as flower petals. The soft pinks and light shimmer is achieved by the cult favorite Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palette. This palette is filled with beautiful shades of pink to brown and is a total must have for any makeup junkie. My favorite way to get the perfect winged liner, like this Fashionista’s, is by using a marker eyeliner. I love marker liners because I feel I have the best control and results using them. You can even cheat perfection by using tape (I totally saw that on YouTube). After you peel off your cheat tape, you can apply your favorite mascara. For me, mascara is similar to skin makeup in which you have to find the one that works best for you. My all time favorite mascara is Maybelline’s Volum’ Express Colossal Mascara. It’s only $7 and worth every penny! After completing your eye makeup, apply you preferred skin makeup. Contour and highlight is today’s biggest beauty trend. Too Faced’s contour palette comes with two different contouring shades and two different highlighters in each palette for different shades of skin. I’m obsessed with this product because it chisels definition in your cheekbones, jaw and forehead and also smells like chocolate which is actually why I love it. She completed this look with deep berry lips layered with gloss making this completed look more delicious than blackberry pie.
