With my favorite season underway, there are so many trends and autumn colors that catch my eye every year! This month I wanted to showcase a beauty Fashionista that is as dedicated in school as she is with makeup. This burgundy bronzed look is perfect for a girls night out or date night. The warm colors on the cheek bones offset the dark but subtle eye shadow. I love this look and paired with the right lipstick makes it a perfect go-to night out face.
Before applying this look make sure to start with a clean fresh face. Practicing good facial routines is key to having clear healthy skin. Find the right cleanser that’s good for your skin type—whether it is oily, acne prone or dry skin. When interviewing this Fashionista, she expressed her love for the Clinique line of skin care products. Taking her advice I highly recommend the Clinique “Dramatically Different Moisturizer”. After using this product for the past few weeks it has made my skin more bright and even. For the past few years I have battled with acne so along with this skin care line and Proactive my complexion is the best it’s ever been.
The products she used for the foundation of this look were MAC “Face and Body Foundation”, Naked skin concealer, Laura Mercier translucent powder and the “Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer” by Two Faced. She topped it all off with a hint of tarte’s blush in the color TrueLove.
For the eyes she started with the Urban Decay eye shadow primer, the tartelette palette in bloom using the shades Charmer on the base of the lid, Flower Child and Funny Girl for the outer edges of the eye, Smarty Pants on the crease with a smudge of the Rocker and Firecracker shades to blend them.
For the wing of the eye this Fashionista used Kat Von D liquid eyeliner, Clinique mascara and the BECCA highlighter in shade Champagne Pop.
This look paired with a comfy sweater dress or a cute blouse and jeans with heels for date night would go perfectly. The products she used above all have drugstore alternatives you can find at CVS, Target or Rite Aid. Look for brand alternatives such as Milani and NYX. Both of these are higher quality products that can be afforded on a college budget. Remember to also check your shade! Trying a swatch out on your neck will show a better comparison for your complexion and skin tone rather than your hand.
Check in next month for my style advice of the week on holiday fashion! Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner! Stay classy & always sassy Fashionistas.
