BEAUTY BAR: Creative With Color

When it comes to makeup, it seems that we are always trying to find the latest trends or new ways of switching up our look. I know that’s my case, and I’m surely going to take notes from this Fashionista. The majority of us stick with what we know and use the same color palettes when it comes to our eyeshadow and mascara, but this Fashionista is definitely not the majority.

She recently started using sparkly silver eyeshadow in the corner of her eyes to brighten them up and and make them look bigger. This is a very subtle technique that switches things up and makes you stand out from a crowd. The key though is to not use too much because it could end up looking like a costume.

This Fashionista also used blue mascara on her lower lashes instead of the traditional black. It ties in well with her jean jacket and blue beads on her necklace. Many people save colored mascara for occasions such as halloween or parties, but this Fashionista knows how to make it work with her everyday looks. This darker shade of blue is a sneaky get away from the boring black we always wear and draws attention to your eyes, as well as showing your more edgy, playful side.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: This Fashionista completed her look with a cherry colored lipstick to give her an extra pop of color which is perfect for her neutral toned outfit. To get her look try using one similar to Kat Von D’s Hellbent. To make her eyes pop, this Fashionista uses Dior eyeshadow, similar to this one called Lune. As far as colored mascara goes, feel free to be bold and choose a color that suites you best! For starters, I would recommend starting with this dark blue Maybelline Colossal Volume mascara to give you a subtle change. For eyeliner, this Fashionista happened to use my personal favorite, liquid liner by Kiko. Many people are scared of using liquid liner, but I find it much easier to control than a pencil. Now, I dare you all to be bold and switch up your daily makeup by adding a fun color to either your eyes or your lips. It’s sure to be a change that’ll turn heads.
