BEAUTY BAR: Dyed Hair, Don't Care

Ombré hair is a type of hair coloring effect in which the bottom portion of one’s hair is dyed a lighter shade that fades out from your natural hair color. It is subtle and elegant, a style with increasing popularity in the last few years. More celebrities have been adopting this look as it graces the pages of every magazine. As summer has officially rolled out last week, there is no better time than now to try out this look.

A black pairing is always a safe way to go when choosing an outfit. The boat neck crop top and bodycon skirt flatters this Fashionista’s figure well. With the black tights, the look is slimming, modest and timeless. I am absolutely in love with this Fashionista’s mustard pumps that go perfectly with her skirt’s damask print; maybe I’ll buy my own pair. Since the outfit is predominantly black, it allows the mustard yellow and her hair to really stand out.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? As Joan Crawford once said, “I think that the most important thing a woman can have—next to talent, of course—is her hairdresser.” Ombré hair is all the rage these days; many salons will be able to do it for you (in different colors even) if you just ask. However, if you’re on a budget, you can always get dye from your local drugstore. Still, I strongly advise that you find someone experienced to bleach your hair, as it’s very easy to damage your hair. If all else fails, you can always get ombre hair extensions!
