Fall has finally arrived and the weather in Iowa has finally started to cool down. You know what that means? A change in clothes and makeup! We can finally start wearing our chunky sweaters and scarves again. This Fashionista has a beautiful makeup look that I am head over heels for.
There’s something about that dark red lipstick that just screams “fall” and I love it. This Fashionista went for a bold fall look by incorporating fall color tones. On the eyes she used a shimmery bronze color on the outer parts of the eye, while highlighting the inner parts with a lighter eyeshadow. She finished it off with a small wing of eyeliner and mascara.
For lip color, this Fashionista used a ColourPop Cosmetics matte liquid lipstick in the shade “Notion.” This shade is perfect for the beginning stages of fall since it is red-violet in color rather than a deep, dark red color. ColourPop is her go-to when it comes to lip color. She says that “it’s a soft matte, but it doesn’t dry out your lips.” Since the air starts to become drier in the fall, it’s extremely helpful to have a lipstick that doesn’t dry out your lips. ColourPop will keep your lips fresh and beautiful all day long! Another perk of this brand is that it is highly similar to the Kylie Lip Kit, but it’s less than half the price, which makes for a great alternative on a college student’s budget!
This Fashionista finished off this gorgeous look by highlighting certain areas on her face. She used Tarte Cosmetics to highlight her forehead, the bridge of her nose and below the eye on the top of her cheekbones. Highlighting is huge in today’s makeup trends and while I’m still learning the basics of it, this girl is rockin’ it!
This makeup is the perfect weekend look for a night out and recreating a similar look is very simple! Use bronze eyeshadows for the eyes and highlight the inner part of the lid. A darker red lipstick will pull together the entire look and Hannah recommends using ColourPop for that beautiful long-lasting color!
