Makeup for everyone is so different. You may like a lighter, more natural look, or more of a heavier night look. But as always, this is based on your personal style, as well as the time, place and situation for what you’re wearing. This Fashionista is rocking the smokey eye look. This look is great on her because it is not too heavy, but just right. This Fashionista has brown eyes, so she accentuates them by wearing brown eyeshadow with eyeliner on the top lid to highlight the dark color of her eyes. She pairs this with a light pink blush and pink lipgloss to match.
This look works because it can be worn during the day but can also easily transition to a night look. The lip color is light, which adds a fun and flirty feel to it. The pink blush highlights her cheekbones and directs you straight to her smokey eyes and long lashes. Her pink necklace ties the different hues of pink together. Feminine and sweet describes this look to a T.
You can get this look by purchasing a smokey eye starter kit. But if you’re like Kimberly “Sweet Brown” Wilkins and “Ain’t nobody got time for that,” try this Fashionista’s simple version of a smokey eye. Start with two eyeshadows, an eyeliner and your favorite mascara. Take one eyeshadow and brush it on the majority of the eyelid. Then with the other eyeshadow, smudge the color into the corner to decrease those harsh lines. Then, with your eyeliner, line your top and bottom eyelids. Finally, grab that mascara and lash up those luscious lashes.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: She is wearing brown eyeshadows, a black eyeliner, a pale pink blush, pink lipgloss and some powder for her skin. To re-create this look you can buy any of these products at your local drugstore.
