What’s up, Fashionistas/os? During my time as a Style Guru so far, I’ve mostly just stuck with talking about the outfits and accessories that my Fashionistas/os have worn. I haven’t yet talked about how important beauty and makeup are, and how they can help complete an outfit or even help match with accessories. I ran into this Fashionista on the street and her cute, comfy looking outfit was what caught my eye at first. Then, I immediately noticed her peachy lip gloss and asked what she had on. Turns out, she was carrying a tube of the new Maybelline Baby Lips lip gloss, which is one of my new favorite beauty products for the summer.
As I have mentioned before in my STYLE GURU BIO, I am a huge Baby Lips addict and love how many fun colors and scents there are. There are the original Baby Lips balms and now the new lip glosses. The lip glosses come in five finishes: jelly, matte and shimmer. There are twelve in all and I have all of them! These glosses are super lightweight and feel moisturizing, not sticky. This Fashionista was talking about how versatile these glosses are, too. She can just wear it at work without any other lip balm and her lips not only feel moisturized, but she also feels put together.
When experimenting with lip glosses and lip color, this Fashionista likes to wear her hair up in a pretty french braid to draw attention to her face. The braid is not only adorable, but completes the look.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To create this look, pick your favorite lip gloss (the one featured is a peachy matte). No need to use a lot of other face makeup, the colored lip gloss will show off your pretty face and is all the color you need! However, if you want even more of a pop, try a few coats of Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. To complete the look and pull it all together, put your hair up in a cute bun or french braid to draw eyes to your pretty lips!
