I don’t know about you, but when braids came back into style, I starting jumping with joy. Not only do they bring back so many childhood memories, but they are and forever will be one of my favorite, go-to hairstyles. It is probably the easiest hair style for when you are running late and you still want to look chic and hip. They were all over the runway this season in every form and not to mention that Kylie Jenner rocks French braids all the time in her Instagram posts, so you know that the easy-to-do hairstyle is on-trend.
When I saw this Fashionista sporting French braids, I knew I had to document it. Not to mention her outfit was on point, so it was a double whammy. Besides rocking the two French braids, this Fashionista was wearing some all-American ripped blue jeans that we all know and love. She paired it with a classic gray and white striped button-down and the most chic army green, faux leather jacket that I have ever seen. Not only do I love the color of this jacket, but it has unexpected cutouts on the back that give the jacket a unique twist. She finished off the look with a simple Cole Haan black cross-body bag and a pair of black Steve Madden booties.
French braids have always been my go-to hairstyle for rainy days, hot and humid days, days where my hair hates me and days where I just don’t have time to bother with it. It is so easy and fast, I am sometimes tempted to wear them every day. Whether you rock one braid or two, it is the best way to keep your hair out of your face and still look stylish! Another reason to love French braids is because there are so many different twists you can put on them to give them a unique and fresh look. Not only can you rock the classic French braids, but there are also about 10,000 different ways that can give you the same chic and trendy look. I consider braids the “hairy” godmother of hairstyles, because they truly grant every hair wish.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To complete this look, you will only need a couple hair ties and a few squirts of hairspray to keep all those flyaways in place. It’s super easy and great for girls on the go!
