After winter comes spring. The snow melts and flowers bloom in all colors of the rainbow. As we watch the landscape and weather make their transitions, our wardrobes do the same. Away go the knits and suede, and in blow the lace, florals and shorter hems and dark hues being replaced with pastels. Of course, the same can be done with our makeup. Goodbye deep maroon lippies, hello light pinks and oranges.
Although some may have gone for more subtle shades, this Fashionista went bold and absolutely fearless with her makeup. Her eyeshadow, lipstick and highlight reflect all the refreshing colors and shine of spring. The combination of matte, shimmer and glitter eyeshadows make the look all about the eyes. The colors she chose aren’t neighbors on the color wheel but complement each other well because of their placement. On her lid is a cool blue blended with green glitter that offsets the warm red shadow above her crease. Her lipstick of choice was a pretty shade of candy pink to complete her glam.
The Botanical Gardens on campus were the perfect backdrop for this Fashionista’s outfit. With the paisley pattern of the blouse, the lace crop top and the cotton candy blue heels, the look encompasses the same fun and spring vibes as her makeup. It’s this Fashionista’s makeup that really brings this look together.
