BEAUTY BAR: Let It Glow

As Tyra Banks once said, “I love the confidence that makeup gives me.” With so many makeup tutorials on YouTube, it is very easy to learn how to put on makeup. Makeup is continuing to evolve, and new ways of how to wear it keep being shown. From baking to contouring, to smoky eyes and winged eyeliner, there is an infinite amount of ways to wear makeup.

‘Tis the season of basketball and football, and this means that it is prime time for dance and cheerleading. This look doesn’t only apply to game day, but it can be worn for a night on the town. We all have small imperfections like scars or pimples (whether they are noticeable or not) that we want to cover up. With foundation, concealer and highlighter, it can all disappear. A concealer should be a shade or two lighter than your skin tone, and it goes under the eye to cover circles and dark spots. A beauty blender works great for blending the makeup and making everything look natural.

We can see that more and more people are beginning to contour their faces. With time and practice, it only becomes easier. Contouring enhances cheekbones and the facial structure. It is best to stick to matte products and use shimmer for highlighting. Just make sure to not go too dark, light or heavy on the makeup so that it looks natural.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To contour the face, use a contour palette and find the perfect shade to use. To help accentuate the cheekbones, a highlighter will go right on top of cheekbones. Eyelashes and eyeliner will help bring out the eyes. Once everything is done, a setting spray should be used to make sure the makeup stays flawless all day!
